Filmed over the course of two years, PureGrand: The Video! chronicles the unique and often frustrating process of an independent DIY pop artist in Ireland. In an ever more accessible yet competitive music world, Luke Faulkner assumes the role of songwriter, producer, visual artist and PR in order to create his debut album and share his distinctive pop vision.
False Starts: The Album
The False Starts album was released in March 2022, it combines music, photography and video and is centred thematically around Faulkner’s own experience (and that of his friends) of being stunted in your mid twenties by factors out of your control. The project is inspired in sound and vision by turn of the millennium pop music, which acts as a vehicle in which to explore the project’s themes.
